I'm Still Here and I Love These New Basic Grey Lines To Death!

I am home....resting! I had a fun time in CA at CHA but the 2 days it took me to get home, delays, changing planes, missed connections, SEEDY hotel (nightmare!!!), no food...is all too much and I need to just sleep and VEG out for another day before I can feel normal again.

I hope you'll forgive me.....

But I do LOVE these new Basic Grey lines...cannot wait to get them ALL!

Monday With Love

It's Monday...how did that happen? I'm tired this morning! The not sleeping because of excitement about CHA has begun for me so there was very little sleeping going on last night...and I had to get up early today to get to work...not good! But I guess it's giving me practice for the crazy hours in CA, right?

Friday Inside and Out!

Happy Friday! OMG I have SO much to do before I leave for CA {CHA} next Friday...it came so fast, I am kind of freaking out!

Today's Friday Fun challenge is to make an Inside & Out card, which means the card is finished on the inside to match the outside, starts on the outside and finishes on the inside, or something like that ;) I'm not too good with details.....but it is inspired from THIS Moxie Fab Challenge, so check that out!

UNITY Thursday!

Hi everyone!!! It's my MOST favorite day of the week...Unity Day! I always LOVE playing with my Unity stamps and this week was no exception, I had a LOT of fun making these 2 cards :D

This 1st card I made doing something I am not good at, or I thought I was not good at...I used my craft knife thingy to cut out the eyes and nose of the owl for my paper piecing! I'm so proud of myself I NEVER touch that razor thing......FUNNY story, I told Mike I need a "cutting mat" so he brought me a "putty knife"........LOL! He was kind of listening right? What a goof :D

Anyway, back to the card, I paper pieced some pretty paper and popped the wing up of this cute little owl from Savor the Journey and here he is:
{The little swirly-doo the owl is sitting on is from Bevy of Butterflies}

This next card I have no idea about...what puzzle pieces and buttons has to do with the other...who knows, it just happened so I went with it!
I just love that saying "Puzzled?"...how cute! All of these stamps are from Savor the Journey.

Another CAS CPS Card!

I hope you don't mind another card made using this weeks CPS Sketch ?? It's just such a FAB sketch! I couldn't resist!

I am also CRAZY for Valentine's Day cards and I really wanted to use my new Papertrey Ink paper and make one of those adorable paper flowers I've been seeing all over the net:
The stamp is from Savor the Journey, the Jan. Unity Kit of the Month!

For my flower I used the PTI patterned paper punched out with my SU! scallop punch, I spritzed the scallops with water so they'd be soft and look worn when they dried (they actually look like fabric in real life!). I smooshed them up and set them aside to dry...then I got impatient so I took them to the bathroom and used my blow dryer to speed up the drying (my heat tool would have been too hot to hold them in my hand and dry!), then I just un-smooshed them and sewed them together with a needle and some twine and a button and viola! EASY! and CUTE!

CAS Monday

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Today's Monday Chicks Challenge is to make a CAS card which means Clean and Simple.
My original card started out with a CAS idea in mind and then ended up totally NOT CAS so I am saving that for tomorrow and I just made another card to fit the challenge for today ;D

This week's Friday Fun Challenge is from Sara and she has challenge us, in honor of her parents 43rd Anniversary, to make an Anniversary card with a traveling theme....sounded a little difficult at 1st but when I got the new Pirate Madness kit it became very easy!
Bet you would have NEVER guessed this was once a pirate ship!!! I just did some paper piecing to cover the scary pirate skulls and viola...it's a love ship! ;)

I have 2 cards for you today!

I needed a little inspiration so I went to sweet Miss Maren's blog to get inspired...and I did get inspired by her bows and simplicity....and here are the 2 cards I came up with for you.

The 1st one uses the ADORABLE mushrooms image from this months kit. I used a little button for the body of the snail {isn't he CUTE?} and paper from My Minds Eye (be loved) that was in last months Scrapping Kit:

Here I used the same paper line and the sweet sentiment that is SO perfect for so many people and another Maren inspired bow...I even made them both all on my own, no special bow tool or anything...I know you're impressed...ha!
This card was super easy to make, took about 10 minutes, my kind of card!
