Today the Monday Chicks are making Christmas cards!!

Since last night was the premiers of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters I needed to make a QUICK card so I had plenty of TV time....you gotta have priorities ;)

This weekend there is a whole lotta stampin' going on over in the SCS VSN Forum!

Today's Friday Fun Challenge from Kimme is to make a card with at least 12 embellishments on it in honor of her and her hubbies 12th Anniversary!

So I used TONS of sparkly gems and some gold brads for 51 embellishments!
Do you recognize the stamps I used?? The Fall flower is made out of Build a Turkey's feathers!! They are perfect for making flowers ;)

All Boy Sketch!

When I saw the SCS Sketch Challenge this week I just knew it was one that will work great for someone like me that loves to use patterned paper! Lots of places to put that paper with this sketch...I'm sure I'll use it again in the future.

There's a Reason I Don't Blog on the Weekends...

And this picture will show you why!
There is not a single place in my house to take a good picture. I may live in the house with the worst lighting in the world, lol!!

I did so much stamping this weekend though that I can't fit it all in Monday thru Friday so I needed to share at least one card today.

I tried today to get an "ok" picture of this card I made with the September Torendi Kit!

I used the Prarie Paper and Ink Friday Sketch for the layout.

I made this for Rachel since she's so crazy for Ninjas....even has her own ninja name for herself and her friends. Yeah, she's 17 but still knows how to PLAY!!

She loves the card and wants me to make cards for all her friends.

Hope my picture isn't so bad that you're sorry you visited today, haha! I'll see you tomorrow with a card taken in better lighting for the Monday Chicks challenge!

What a stressful night we had last night!! Our doggie was bitten by a snake and it was just madness and craziness at my house all night...rushing her to the vet, staying by her all night.......but I managed to sneak away from her side for 10 minutes to make a card for today anyway.

Le Vintage Chic Day

Today I just wanted to show you another card using the fabulous Unity kit Le Vintage Chic!

There's something else I'm excited about today!!! It's the 1st day of FOOTBALL SEASON!! And I am a football FANatic for sure!!! There's nothing i'd rather do on a Sunday than watch football all day and night...and Monday and Thursday nights, too ;)

And guess what?? My sweet, darling husband got me, I mean us....a new TV! It's our 1st new TV actually and I am so excited!! I can't wait to get home from work and plop on the couch (new, too) and watch this baby all night long!!

CCEE Sketch

Happy Wednesday everyone!! It's 09/09/09, too and I like that....I don't know why I just like numbers that are all the same ;) So I've decided today will be the best day ever!! I need a "best day" after yesterday...ugh....thought that day would never end. People were coming at me from every direction with their drama and issues but I SURVIVED! Yay!!

Anyway, onto the card!

I saw the CCEE Stampers Challenge a couple of days ago on my friend Frances blog and just had to play!
I finally opened this stamp I bought months ago and used it....figured I should use it before I sell it in a few weeks, lol!

The sentiment is from Following My Heart, the August Unity Kit of the Month!

Oh, I wanted to tell you a couple of things.....a fun new store is opening up today: TORENDI. As soon as their doors open I am going to try to get my hands on their 1st kit cause it looks so fun and like nothing I've ever played with before!!!

Also Becky is having a fun giveaway on her blog for 2 PTI swatch books...I'm hoping to win one for myself ;)

Friends With Flair and a Friday Fun Challenge!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Today is the first Unity Friends With Flair Friday and it's also Friday Fun day!!

Kimme is the Friday Fun hostess for September and today she challenged us to "make a card that uses office/school supplies in some way. A paperclip embellishment, a stamp of school books, your spiral or tab punches, mini folders etc."

So I used Cosmo Cricket "The Boyfriend" paper since it's "school" inspired and a silver paperclip for my school supply and the Hodge Podge of Happiness Unity kit:
I also used my new Herringbone Cuttlebug embossing folder, I think it sorta looks like a sweater, don't you?

The cardstock I used is new to me. It's from Coredinations and my friend Jeanne sent it to me to try out and I really LIKE it a lot, thanks Jeanne!!!

Hip Hop-Less Thursday but...

It's all good AND I have something to show you anyway....just couldn't help myself from stamping on a Wednesday night, it's tradition in my house!!

So I made a birthday card for my nephew who turned 2....like 2 weeks ago, oops! He'll never know the difference, right??

I used Sketchy Little Boy and Playing Card Alphabet both from Unity Stamp Co. on my card along with this weeks SCS Sketch Challenge: Both of these stamp kits will be available in a couple of weeks but if you need them now there are some retail stores (online, too) that already have them!
