Clean and Simple Paper Piecing

I made this card for last week's Clean and Simple challenge on SCS.

The challenge is paper piecing...my favorite technique!
My stamp set is a new (to me!) set from Papertrey Ink.

The paper is from My Minds Eye "Breaking Free" line (LOVE IT!).

The punch is my new favorite Martha Stewart punch.

Ribbon is Baja Breeze from Stampin' Up!

It's a Christmasey Monday

Today the Monday Chicks are making Christmas cards...because it's never too early to start right??

I made my card by clear embossing the stamp images onto Shimmery White cardstock and then using a sponge to add different shades of purple over the embossing. I don't know why but I am CRAZY for purple lately....and I think purple is great for Christmastime, too!

My sketch is this weeks CPS sketch and the stamp set is a new release from Unity, Bright and Merry Winter Wishes

BIG {exciting} News!!

Did you see THIS??

I am now part of the fabulous Jacksonbelle Embellishments Design Team!!!

I have loved this store since I started stamping a few years ago and I am so excited to be part of their team now!!

I made a quick card to say "Hi" as part of the Jacksonbelle team and to show off some of the fabulous products in the store.
(it's almost midnight so pardon the horrible lighting!!)

Friday Fun for Fathers!

Quick post today for the Friday Fun Challenge...

We are showing off cards for Father's Day or cards for a special man in our life!

I made this card for Mike "just because". He's not my dad so I don't have to make him a Father's Day card and I already showed you the cards for my dad HERE....

This saying is one that my mom uses ALL the time in a very sarcastic way when someone is being irritating..."You're SUCH a treat...." I can just hear her saying it to Mike when he's teasing or messing with her, with a BIG smile on both their faces, LOL!!

I used the June Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. called Perfect In Every Way!!



Sorry for the bad pic...whenever i have to take a pic at home versus at work it turns out horribly.....sorry!!

Monday Quick Card and Weekend Fun!

Monday....why do you keep coming around? hehe....if it wasn't Monday, it would be Tuesday right?? Oh well, i'll just deal and get over it!!

Today's Monday Challenge was to make a card in under 10 minutes.
I made the mistake of telling Rachel that it was a 10 minute card challenge...because when I realized the yellow phone didn't "work" and said "how long has it been" and she said "5 minutes", I said "crud!" and that's my story and I'm sticking to it!! So sorry for the crazy yellow phone...ha!
I used the Unity kit Everyday Adorable and some new paper I got this weekend on a shopping trip (see below;))

If you'd like to hear about my fun weekend keep reading....

On Saturday my best friend Sherry's son Alex graduated from high school! It was so exciting and I was so proud of him, he's such a smart, wonderful kid! He's going to a mechanic's school next month and I know he'll do great and be sucessful!

On Sunday Sherry and I got to meet up with our Sassy friend Kimme!! She's in VA Beach for a family vacation so of course a Sassy Reunion had to happen!
We picked her up and went to lunch at Red Robin (don't you LOVE that place??) then hit a wonderful scrapbook store Beach Scrapbooks where I got tons of new beautiful paper, including what I used above. Then we went to AC Moore, ULTA, Carter's and Bed Bath and Beyond....PERFECT DAY, if I do say so!!

I'm hoping to get to see Kimme again later this week....

Hip Hop for Father's

Today's Hip Hop is all about Dad's!

I used some stamps that might not normally be for a Father's Day card but they are perfect for my dad so that's what really matters right? It's always fun to use stamps for occasions they aren't meant for!

My 1st card uses the exclusive set, only available at Making Memories Crafts, called Unity in America. Since my dad is a military man I can ALWAYS use this set for lots of occasions, Father's Day being one of them and he is my hero :)

I also used Stars of Worn and Worn Grid

My sketch is this weeks SCS SKetch Challenge!


The next card uses Old Skool Ride and a sentiment from the June Kit of the Month Perfect in Every Way.
This is a special card for my dad that I am going to send him this week.
1st of all my dad is a REAL biker...has a biker name, is in the biker club, has a cool vest with patches and all that, lol....
2nd, my papa (his dad) passed away on Tuesday and I think that this card will let my dad know I am thinking about him and how much I love him and the sentiment is so perfect for this time and situation right now.
Well, I hope you like what I made for you to see. It was GREAT to get back to stamping again after a week away from it.

Unity June Kit of the Month Guest Designer Challenge!
