Friday Fun Challenge #12 {a day late!}

I am a day late posting the Friday Fun Challenge. If you saw my blog yesterday you'll see why...I was kinda busy shopping and sleeping!!
So here it is!
This week our challenge is a sketch created by Katherine.

I'm off to a Big Craft Bazzar today, maybe i'll get some ideas for the Craft Fair I am supposed to be in 2 weeks from now...yeah, I have nothing prepared!!

Black Friday ~ Total SUCCESS!

First of all...we are normally 3 hot chicks...but it was 3:45am and FREEZING! So, excuse the crazy strained faces...though Sherry is looking pretty darn good...

So, today is my favorite day of the year and here is how it went:

We left my house at 3:15am and headed to the Mall to go to JcPenney. Got to JcPenney and there were tons of people lined up outside, I love that part, so exciting. But we waited in the car to look over our lists and the ads and get ready until it was closer to 4am because we didnt want to carry our jackets, though I did anyway and was mad but oh well, you live and learn;)

Here we are before we went in:

At JcPenney I got some FAB deals! I got a wool/cashmere blend coat for $40 for myself and some $100 boots for $35! And some sweaters for Rachel and jeans for Mike...GREAT deals were to be found at JcPenney..that reciept says I saved "$296.27" and I only spent $140.42!

Then we went to WalMart because my sister in Italy had a long list for my nieces that Auntie had to come through with. I am proud to say that with the help of Sherry and Tiffany we got EVERYTHING on her list and there were some WILD women trying to stand in our way. While in WalMart I had a slight panic attack while I was stuck in the aisle by electronics for 20 minutes without moving....my face was all read and I felt faint and the lady next to me said "are you ok??" and I said "no, I need to get out of her NOW!" and people suddenly started moving!

Next it was to Target, they opened at 6am (lame!) so we waited in the car for them to open and went in and I got the Wii for a co-worker that asked me to get one for him, I got my Guitar Hero single guitar, some dvd's and a few toys for the nieces.

Next we ran to our FAVORITE store, New York and Company!! We all had our coupons in hand and were looking for our free watch (omg, it's so cute!)! We all got some new sweaters and pants and jewelry...of course as our reward for all of our shopping for others, right?? My receipt says I saved "$175.92" and I only spent $84.69!

Then we had to have breakfast so we went to Chic-Fil-A and relaxed and recharged!

Next we hit Shoe Carnival for some Clark's shoes for Mike that were on sale from $89.00 to $39.00 before noon and I accidentally got a pair of black pumps for only $14.98.....that's almost free!

Finally we went to Kohl's just to see what they had and I got some great deals on dress socks for me and little short socks for Rachel and the Levi's were on sale so I got some of those for Mike and some clothes for my nephew.

Here is the car after all was said and done:

I'd say that was a succesful day, wouldnt you????????????????

I love this holiday, it's the best ever!! I so cannot wait for next year!!!

Hip Hop Into the Holidays!!

I used Jesus is the Reason for both creations and just some punches and pretty paper and ribbon and voila!

Speaking of Black Friday (the BEST day ever), who else is going to join me in the shopping madness??? I was just looking over some of the ads online and I am really scared over here...I am afraid I am going to go NUTSO, SHOPPING CRAZY!! There is so much I want, I need, I have to have....WISH ME LUCK...I feel faint just thinking about it!!!

At this time of Thanksgiving I really want to say...before you leave...how THANKFUL I am for all of you and all of the friends I have made because of stamping and Unity and this blog, it is so wonderful and I feel so blessed, thankful and loved!! Don't we all have so much to be thank ful for??

7 Random/Wierd Facts About Me:

1. Some noises make me gag...yes gag and almost throw up. Like just now I was using the tape gun at work and it made an awful high-pitched squeel and I gagged...in front of my boss.

2. I am not a baby person, I am a dog person. Babies don't even like me, they cry EVERY time I hold them. Except of course my nieces, Madison and Cadence, Payton I have never met but I am sure she'll love me, my nephew cries when I hold him...

3. I get such a huge shopping high that people think I am drunk, true story! Saturday, went shopping at Kohls, picked up Rachel and her friend from the movies, friend says "Rachel, is your mom drunk?"...Rachel said "no, she just went shopping, she gets like this!".

4. Speaking of shopping, I love Black Friday shopping and will get up at 2am but can't get up at 7am to go to work.

5. I have only changed maybe 10 diapers in my whole life and yes I have a 16 year old and neices and a nephew...thank God I lived with my mom and dad when Rachel wore diapers;)

6. My bedroom is a WRECK! I won't even let my closest friends see it, it's so bad. I have clothes covering every inch of everything in my room...my husband can't stand it and sometimes will hold out on..."you know what" until I clean it...(tmi??)

7. I talk to my dog, Tara, every morning all morning long and ask her what I should wear, what shoes to wear, what I should make for dinner and she definitely answers me in my head!

Still love me??

Today is also the day after Hip Hop and with all the fun that is had there, you always have a hangover to show for it, I GOOD one though!

Later today Angela, the Head Unity chick, will post the blogs of everyone with a Hip Hop Hangover and there will be tons of eye candy to see!! Check out her blog today for her post and to see if there are any leftover Hip Hop specials from yesterday...I think there are;)

OMG and it snowed here this morning...WHAT??? I SO do not like snow in any way shape or form and I actually made me nauseous when I saw it...so pray that it gets warmer here, and FAST or I'll be headed South!

Hip Hoppin' New Releases!

I think I am totally in love with his adorableness!!!
I used this weeks SCS Color Challenge (again) for this card.
This is a release from a few weeks ago that I love called Trinity Trio! I think this is one of my favorite stamps ever..until another one becomes my favorite ever, lol!

For this card I used the Sparkly Stained Glass technique from SCS. This was so much fun to do and I almost never do techniques, but I like sparkly things so I couldn't resist:) If you could see this in person the sparkliness would blind you, hehe! I used this weeks SCS Sketch Challenge for this card!

SCS Color Challenge #193

Oh how I love kraft kardstock, let me count the ways, lol:)

I do love kraft, it is just perfect with every color on the planet so today's Color Challenge on Splitcoaststampers was one I had to do right away, like on the actual day of the challenge and not days later!!
The stamps I used are Everlasting Romance and Wait for the Lord, both from Unity Stamp Company. The Kraft cardstock I use is from Papertrey Ink and is awesome and comes in a pack of 50!!

My 1st creation to show you is what started out as a card and failed miserably, so it became a little wall hanging! I cut the chipboard and Cosmo Cricket paper in my Cuttlebug and then stamped the quote from the November Kit of the Month enjoy Your Story...laugh on the vanilla piece and put it all together.

This is a card I made also using the November Kit of the Month. Those chickens are just the cutest, aren't they??

FFC8...A Day Late.

I'm late with my Friday Fun Challenge card for no other reason than pure forgetfullness! I forgot to do it Friday morning at work because I forgot my camera at home with the pics on it then last night because we went out to Mexican and then today because Rachel had a hair appointment and then an appointment for a photo shoot with a friend that needs some pics to advertise her photography business (I shared a few I took with my camera below!)....so I am sorry!


Onto the card business.

This week Kim is our Hostess and she is so sweet and told us to just use whatever our favorite stamps are. Of course, mine are Unity Stamps, like, duh, hehe...

So, I used a stamp I have never used before from the Birds of a Feather kit.

It's Christmas here on my blog and I am so glad you hopped over from Sarah's blog today!

My first little Christmas project is a box I made (holy cow, I made a box, that is BIG deal). I saw this tutorial here: Schwoo and it was so easy to make!!
I used the stamp called Jesus is the Reason.

This card uses a just released today stamp called Chalet of Serenity!
I added some pretty snow to make it look like a Christmas stamp!
This is for the SCS color challenge this week and for Amber's sketch challenge, too!
(sorry it's kinda yellowish...not sure what that's all about...)

WSC64 & SCS CC191

I made this card to Beate's weekend sketch challenge #64 and also for the SCS color challenge #191.
This is either a girly Christmas card or a card with arrows pointing at the words "ho"...you decide...hehe:)
The stamp I used is called Ho, Ho, Ho and is a rectangle shaped stamp but I used my circle punch to just punch out the part I needed.
All other supplies are from Stampin' Up!

Not sure if this picture is blurry or my eyesight...could be either or both, lol!
